PINGS Membership
FPG Handicap
In Portugal, your handicap is held by the Federacao Portuguesa de Golfe (FPG) for an annual payment of €70 (paid before 31 March) or €77 for late payment after this date. This FPG fee is is due from your nominated Portugese Golf Club or Society. You can be a member of multiple Portugese Golf Clubs and Societies but you can only choose one for your FPG registration. If you wish, you can nominate PINGS for this, and pay the additional FPG fee through us.
Annual PINGS Membership €80 per Year (January to December) If you join mid-year, the price is €60 from April or €40 from July. We do not offer any other pro-rata mid-year price adjustments. Renewal will then be due the following January at €80 per Year. Note: If you nominate PINGS for your FPG Registration, the FPG annual fee (as outlined above) is payable in addition to the fee for PINGS membership. New Members Completed PINGS Membership Form (download link below). - If you are already registered with FPG and wish to maintain your registration with your current Portugese Golf Club / Society we will need to know your existing FPG number and club/society - If you would like PINGS to take over an existing FPG handicap, you will also need to complete the FPG transfer form (download link below). - If you do not have an existing FPG handicap, we will need a photo / scanned copy of your Passport photo page or Identity Card. If you have an existing handicap from another country, we require Proof of Handicap. If you do not have an existing Handicap, you will play at least one round with somebdy who is registered with the FPG so that they can verify your score which is submitted to the FPG. We can arrange for you to play with a member of the PINGS Committee for this purpose if you wish.

When you join the FPG for the first time, you will need to register on their website http://my.fpg.pt/
Guests playing in PINGS Tournaments Non-Pings Members are welcome to play ONCE as a guest in Pings Tournaments. They may be invited by existing members or may register themselves using their FPG number. However, guests are not eligible for Prizes at the Tournaments, other than nearest the pin. If you wish to play further tournaments after playing once as a Guest, you will need to become a member of PINGS or purchase a Visitor Tournament Pass.
Visitor Tournament Pass To accommodate the situation where somebody is only visiting for a few weeks / months and would like to participate in PINGS Tournaments, we offer a Visitor Tournament Pass for €40 which will commence the day of issue and expire after 3 months. With this, you are welcome to participate in any of our Tournaments during the period. We do not offer FPG registration as part of this as it is only aimed at Visitors. Visitors are not eligible for Prizes at Tournaments other than nearest the pin.
As per PINGS Tournament Rules, the maximum handicap for Men is 28 and for Women 36. The Committee reserve the right to adjust playing handicaps if they deem such action is warranted.
